How does Pet Decoder work?

Hold your phone toward your pet and tap Start Scan. The app records 5–15 seconds of audio and analyses it using AI together with your pet's breed and age. You get a first-person translation card you can save or share.

Is Pet Decoder accurate? Is this real translation?

Pet Decoder is an entertainment app, not a behavioural diagnostic tool. The translations are creative AI interpretations based on the audio characteristics and your pet's profile. They are designed to be fun and shareable — not to give veterinary or behavioural advice. If you're worried about your pet's health or behaviour, please consult a vet.

Why does the app need microphone access?

Pet Decoder records short clips of your pet's barks, meows, growls, or yowls so the AI can analyse them. The microphone is only active during a scan you explicitly start. You can revoke microphone access any time in iPhone Settings → Pet Decoder.

What happens to my recordings?

Audio recordings are sent to our backend and forwarded to Google Gemini AI for analysis, then discarded immediately after the translation is generated. We do not store recordings on our servers.

How do subscriptions work?

Pet Decoder Pro unlocks unlimited scans. Monthly and annual plans are available. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage your subscription in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Pet Decoder.

How do I restore a previous purchase?

Open Pet Decoder → Profile tab → tap Restore Purchases. Your subscription will be restored if it's still active on your Apple ID.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Pet Decoder → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open Pet Decoder, go to Profile tab → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, pet profile, and translation history. Alternatively, contact us at vertosupport@agentmail.to and we will delete your data within 30 days.

Can I use Pet Decoder without creating an account?

Yes. Pet Decoder offers a Guest mode with no sign-up required. Your pet profile and translation history are saved on the device. Subscription purchases on a Guest account are tied to your Apple ID and can be restored by signing in later.

The app isn't working — what should I do?

Try closing and reopening the app, or restart your phone. Make sure microphone permission is granted. If the problem persists, ensure you have the latest version from the App Store, then contact us at vertosupport@agentmail.to with a description of the issue and your iPhone model.
